Executive Administrator
Yana earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Fortaleza, Brazil. She honed her executive support skills working in an academic research environment at UC San Diego for over 12 years. She started as a fiscal assistant at the Bioengineering Dept. in 2010 and has maintained a successful track 'record over the years, with continuously growing responsibilities, including executive assistant to the chair and program coordinator for a large NIH project. Later, she transitioned from Bioengineering to UC San Diego Health Sciences, Otolaryngology Department, where she provided high-level executive administrative support to the Department Chief and Faculty and supervised all administrative activity for the Department. Yana’s extensive administrative experience combined with a strong understanding of research dynamics and commitment to offer great service brings a unique skill set that aligns with the needs of Alume Biosciences.
